Manufacturer: Roger Capron
Roger Capron is a highly sought after French artist. Born in 1922 in Paris - his mid century ceramics are wonderful. This unusual tile clock measures 6 1/4" high by 3 7/8" wide. The tile body is 3/4" thick. Hand painted with flowers and leaves, checkered pattern on bottom, with an incised and hand painted clock face. Signed R. CAPRON above the VI on the face. Clear majolica glaze on the tile face. Condition - there is a chip on the upper top edge, approximately 1/8" square. Bottom left corner thin clay chip. Two small backside chips.

The miniature quartz clock movement (and hands) are new, and are not "permanently" affixed. This is easily removed and can be re-inserted after shipping. ( armoire )
