Circa: 1930's
Manufacturer: Rumrill Pottery
Vintage Rumrill Dutch Blue vase. c:late 1930's-1938. Great looking semi-matte mottled blue vase. The glaze type is called 'stippled' and/or 'Dutch Blue' according to the book and this finish is hard to find, and commands higher prices. (see B.L. Dollen's 2001 book on Red Wing Pottery). No chips or cracks; stands 6 tall x 6 wide. Bottom has incised mark: Rumrill and a 3 digit number that I cannot make out. It has a whitish spot on interior of vase; looks like a factory flaw. Since it's on the interior, I do not consider it much of a flaw. A great item for your Rumrill/Red Wing collection!
