Anticus Antiques

Circa: Late 1800s
Condition: Used
Manufacturer: Unknown
Two very early 1900s brushes - wood, with black lacquer and hand painted flowers. Genuine bristle brushes. The crumb brush is curved - to brush crumbs off your tablecloth, so they don't go all over the floor when you take off the cloth. It could also have been used as a top hat brush, or a felt-hat brush, as it has soft bristles around the edges and hard bristles inside this. Both have wear, but they are very typical of a bygone age, and have a shabby chic appeal. They could be polished and cleaned up a bit more - I have left them as original. Crumb/hat brush is 31.5 cm long. Clothes brush is 8 cm long.
