Vintage Shawnee Pottery teapot. Being sold as a collectible display teapot; not for food use since it is vintage. Incised mark: Tom the Piper's Son, Patented USA 44, as shown in the book. c: 1940's. It is a very charming old teapot; no cracks or crazing. It has one small chip off the backside of the tippy top red part of the hat; see close up photo 7; the front display side is photo #8. It is actually hard to spot the tiny fleabite in reality unless you are looking for it and it is on the backside, not the front display side. This pot is almost 8 tall with lid on x 8 long. The colors on it are similar to some of the early Ransbottom and Brush McCoy items from the 40's. Very cute, collectible item for your vintage teapot or Shawnee collection! 2/17
