Beautiful painting depicting children on a bluff overlooking the ocean done using watercolor paints on paper by renowned English artist Myles Birket Foster RWS (1825-1899).  


Myles Foster was considered to be one of the most successful English watercolor artists. The painting is signed on the lower right corner with his typical signature using his initials.  Approximate painted image dimensions are 17.25"w x 11.25"h visible to the mat (20" x 13.5" sheet dimensions).


The painting which had been framed is attached to the mat and has toning and water staining on the mat and a little toning of the paper in an area of the sky and water of the painting itself.


Would be glad to answer any questions you may have.  Painting depicting a landscaped setting with birch trees and water and mountains  in the background done using oil paints on canvas be American artist Jonas Lie (1880-1940) as indicated by his signature on the lower left corner of the painting.  There is also a date on the painting which appears to be 1925.  Approximate painted image dimensions are 58"w x 31"h.  The painting which is in fine over-all condition is framed in a gold painted molded wood frame.


Would be glad to answer any questions you may have.  Early painting done in 1958 using mixed media by Dutch-Indonesian artist Arie Smit (1916-2016).  Approximate painted image dimensions are 14" x 10" to the mat.

The painting which depicts a costume or stage design was done in 1938. Approximate painted figure dimensions are 11"h x 8"w.  Approximate visible paper dimensions are 14"h x 10"w to the mat.  There are several pinholes in the paper although the painting itself is in excellent condition.
