Tonner 2011 Small World Dutch Girl from Holland doll from the Disney Showcase Collection, No. T11DYDD15, is a high quality vinyl 10 inch doll with a Small World head on an Ann Estelle body with bending knees but straight arms. She has a lighter skintone with a blonde wig styled in braids with yellow ribbon and painted brown eyes. The Tonner site shows a picture with blue eyes, but the dolls that came to me all have brown eyes and the Tonner site has been corrected to describe brown eyes, unlike the catalog photographs. She is dressed as on the Disney ride when journeying through the land of tulips. She is wearing a brilliant blue dress with contrasting yoke and sleeves, trimmed with bright green ribbon, a touch of yellow, and delicate eyelet lace, a white cloth hat, white tights, and yellow resin clogs that look like wood. The outfit is a part of the wardrobe of a fashion doll who represents a fictional character who was previously known as Katie Marshall before her acting days. The doll costume was designed by Mel Odom. for the 15.5 inch fashion doll. This outfit represents an outfit that Katie Marshall wore when she left New York for Hollywood around 1941 to pursue an acting career. This doll was part of a set of 12 doll in colorful international costumes that were given as service station premiums in the later 1950s or early 1960s. Like other Cissette dolls in 1995, her eyes do move on their own when she is laid down, but they move easily with assistance. Wearing gold burgundy, browns and blacks, her ensemble includes a hooded, cape-like burgundy and black robe lined with gold and trimmed in gold brocade and tassel over a gold striped dress that secures at the neck with a golden hoop collar. There is a yellow with golden jewel near the neckline at the front of the dress and golden elastic wristbands. She also wears golden tights and high heel shoes. She comes in near mint condition except for the factory flaw noted and a box that shows wear and fading of the letters. She has been kept closed inside her box and has been in a smoke-free, animal-free environment. The coloring of her dress is even, and not like the glare of the flash. She has her booklet.
