Great Expectations Antiques

Circa: 1910's-30's
Condition: Good++
Manufacturer: Not marked
Offering this antique socket gouge chisel that is not marked by the maker, there is some evidence of a light maker's stamp, but not enough there to read the name. The blade is made of quality tool steel and holds a cutting edge very well. The cutting edge is in-channel sharpened and is sharp, ready to use. The sweep appears to be a standard, or medium arc. It measures 12.5 inches long overall and 8.5 inches long on the steel only. The cutting edge is sharp ready to work. Has a nice fitting, solid handle with a little wear, a few minor dings, but no cracks, fits good to the steel and has good leather end caps. A nice quality flat cut wood chisel overall!
