Great Expectations Antiques

Circa: mid 1900's
Condition: Good+
Manufacturer: Stanley (U.S.A.)
This is a nice sharp 1" butt chisel marked "STANLEY NO. 60 MADE IN U.S.A.". Although this chisel doesn't have the famous EVERLASTING CHISEL name on it, it is called a EVERLASTING CHISEL by Stanley, it does have a very heavy duty feel in hand, and quality of workmanship, just doesn't have the wooden handle. Made to last a life time! It has the same quality steel as the early No. 60 everlasting chisels, and also has the solid, study, metal end cap. As you can see the former wood handle was replaced by a plastic like material called "PERMALOID" and Stanley offered it in a few different colors, in the case of this handle it is yellow. This chisel is 8.0" long overall. It is in good+ condition, ready to use condition with very little wear on the metal area, some pitting, but not near the cutting edge, some wear and scratches on the handle, no rust, no damage, good metal end cap, clean! A top quality chisel by a well known maker!
