Circa: Late 1800's
Condition: Good
Manufacturer: Stanley U.S.A.
This is a clean antique try square marked "STANLEY PAT. 2-29-96" on the steel blade. It is in solid condition with a very thin (.044") steel blade, rosewood handle with brass hardward and brass wear plate, all solid with only a small chip off the outer edge of the rosewood at one end. The steel blade is straight for the most part, but a some scratches and minor dings in the thin steel noted, but not on the working surfaces. We checked this one against a precision square, and it is not perfectly square, so if you intend to use it, be sure to tune it up first. Priced accordingly.
