Great Expectations Antiques

Circa: 1920's
Condition: Good
Manufacturer: Stanley (U.S.A.)
This is a nice clean 12" try square marked "STANLEY SW MADE IN U.S.A." with the sweetheart shaped logo on one side of the blade. The model has the steel blade, rosewood and brass beam, with the brass plate on the butt edge of the beam, held in place by 4 screws. The blade has some pitting on it, but is not rusty now, very clean. The blade is graduated in inches from 0-12" on both side of the blade. The side that has the Stanley mark on it, is in much better shape than the opposite side of the blade, very little pitting on this one side, readable graduation for the most part. The rosewood is in good shape a few stains and scratch, quite clean overall. The brass is all in nice shape, with little wear noted. We tested this square against a square master, and it is very good on squareness. A nice large square!
