Antique silver spoon, with hallmarks for Exeter 1848, in the reign of Queen Victoria. Pattern if engraved leaves etc on finial and stem, and the initials "G I R" or could be J I R, at the top of the finial. Slightly worn tip to bowl, and a little bit battered, with a green salts mark. Maker's mark is RW over JW over JW, for Robert, James & Josiah Williams , Exeter. Spoon measures 20.5 cm long, with a bowl 4.3 cm wide. TSW: 43g.
