This is a top quality English carving chisel marked "H. TAYLOR SHEFFIELD" on the steel shank. There is also an accorn type logo on stamped on the steel. It is 5/16" wide at the cutting edge, and 9.0" long overall. It has a full sweep or arc in regards to the type of gouge. It has a good solid, 8 sided English tanged type handle that fits well and looks nice. A very nice, hard to find chisel overall, by a well known edge tool maker!
