Still a favorate style test indicator by Starrett by many toolmakers, this is a fine example of a quality machinist tool!  It's the UNIVERSAL TEST INDICATOR LAST WORK, by STARRETT CO. (and so marked on the top of the red exterior padded case).  It's a .001" increment model in very good working condition with very little wear. The indicator face is marked "STARRETT NO. 711 LAST WORD .001" MADE IN U.S.A.".  It's a nice set with an extra point and an extra holding attachment, all fit into the padded inside and outside case. This indicator had very little use, and was well cared for. Was tested, and works great. The padded case has very little wear on the top mostly. but look pretty nice, the spring loaded closure still works good.  It is marked Starrett on the top, otherwise in great shape with a good spring hinge.
