Ladybugs Antiques & Collectibles

Manufacturer: Marks-Ring Assoc.
Irish Ballad with a special Fox Trot Chorus.
Lyric by Elizabeth McDonald; Music by Edward H McDonald.

Copyright by 1924 by Marks-Ring Assoc.

Pretty and very colorful cover art in very good condition and would frame out nicely with a matted border.

An interesting find as this was a Poem-Song Publication of the era.

These were an advertised business of the era where a person would pay to have their lyrics or poems put to music and published for a fee.

The "send us your poem and we will put it to music, publish & distribute for you" service was Luther A. Clark’s business after his one creditable hit with the piano arrangement for "WHEN IT'S SPRINGTIME IN THE ROCKIES"; but from his Thomaston Maine office, his primary business was setting his customers quite forgettable lyrics to like melody.

Also of note is that the lovely cover art is also taken from the 1919 copy of "Somebody's waiting for someone" by Harry Van Tilzer Music Pub. Co.
(See item ESM1338) And "Little Rain Drops" - A 1929 Poem-Song Publication. (See item ESM1330)
