This is a Victorian or Edwardian sterling silver brooch. It is called a posey holder or a bouquet holder or a tussie mussie. This type of brooch was used to hold real flowers to be worn as a brooch. The brooch is simply marked STERLING. It has an applied leaf on the top. The brooch measures 2 inches long, 1/4 of an inch wide on the bar portion and the center portion is 5/8 of an inch tall.
