Circa: 1800's
Manufacturer: unknown
Victorian glass syrup pitcher. c: 1800's. Glows a strong yellow under black light. It is very elegant with a few aging flaws. It stands almost 6.5 tall with tin lid. Flaws: the lid has some rust on the interior of lid. The glass has a large and small bubble in it; is has some chigger bites along some of the ribs; a tiny flake/chip off one of the diamond shaped ribs near the lower portion of the glass; and has some fissures or scratches on the handle and some stretch lines in the glass. The bottom has a polished pontil so I'd say it was made in the USA during the 1850's-1890's. It pings like flint glass. None of the flaws are apparent from 10 inches away. See all photos showing the flaws. It's a nice addition to your collection as long as you don't mind aging flaws! 9/18
