Manufacturer: Abbotts Dairies Inc.
Fun find out of a home. This is a vintage glass dairy bottle or milk bottle or cream bottle in the small half pint size. Used by and marked for Abbotts Dairies Inc. (Abbotts Dairy Farms) which we believe was located in New York state from some internet research, but don't know this for certain.

Clear glass round milk bottle with raised in mold lettering of the Abbotts name in script on two sides of the bottle, but no colored embossing. Measures about 5 7/16 inches in height, 2 1/2 inches in diameter to the base, 2 3/16 inches diameter for the full top, and 1 1/2 inches for the top opening diameter. This is the type of bottle which would take a flat, inset, paperboard milk bottle cap piece (and has a molded slight/thin inner glass rim at the bottom of the neck portion, we do not have the cap). It has very thick glass rimming the top opening (about 1/4 inch in width/glass thickness here).

In raised molded letters along the base one side it reads "Abbots Dairies Inc." preceded by a HTC symbol. On the other side of the bottle in raised molded letters along the base it states ""Half Pint Liquid Registered" with two small vertical lines and "PA." beneath this. On the underside base in raised molded letters there is a large "A" with a center circle with an "E" and two other letters or numbers that we can't quite make out.

This is definitely a vintage piece from the style, markings and wear, and we can see tiny bubbles and some striations in the glass which are often seen with old glass pieces. We are guessing that this bottle dates at the latest to the 1940s. The empty bottle weighs slightly over 10 ounces unpacked.

This was very difficult to photograph to show condition and markings. We shot images with the camera lighting (which creates white "hot spot" reflections on the smooth glass) and holding the bottle up to a glass door for a natural lighting source. There are 8 images, showing varied sides and close-ups, so please look across all of these to get the best idea, and use the zoom feature for best detail.

Expected vintage look and condition, showing some age and use wear to the glass, definitely not mint but not bad. There are no chips or cracks, but there is side bottle body wear via scratches, scraping, scars, rubbed areas, dots/pin dots/pitting, some light white skim (we believe on the interior, a bit on the body and you can see some on the inner base) and some light brown staining, etc., with some rim wear on the underside base and on the top rim. The scripted raised Abbotts logos on two sides show some wear but are overall in good, readable condition. There is also some wear to the raised letters molded along the outer lower base of the bottle (but not bad), with a brown stain between the two "Bs" in the Abbotts name here. If one were to fill this with white styrofoam as many folks do, you might not see most of the clear glass bottle wear we don't know, but we show items without that to better show the true condition.

A neat addition to any collection of milk bottles. This could easily be displayed as part of country kitchen decor or used as a fun small flower vase.
