Great Expectations Antiques

Circa: 1930-50's
Condition: Very Good
Manufacturer: not marked
Made in U.S.A.!
This is a nice clean, quality made egg beater type, single speed hand drill with no maker's marks on it, it was most likely marked with a sticker or painted on logo originally. It is marked "MADE IN U.S.A." on the crank handle. This one is 11.25" long overall, and has a 3/16" diameter chuck capacity (this one has the quality 3 jaw chuck that is spring loaded, works fine, turn true on center). This drill come with a new 3/16" spiral drill which runs true on center when held firmly in the chuch and tested. The hand crank wheel is made of an alloy metal that is resistant to rusting as it has no paint or rust on it. The wheel is well attached, meshes with the drive gear very well and turns smoothly. Nice quality parts! The handles are good quality hardwood, nice looking, and still in very nice condition, no cracks, minor scratches, some tiny dings, snug fitting. The main center shaft is steel, has some darkening but is not rusty or damaged. Overall the condition is very good, no rust on the polished bare metal surfaces, nice wood parts, very clean overall. The gears and all the spindles are in great shape, cranks smoothly, nice simple design. A good solid tool from the 1930's-50's era, ready to use or display!
