Manufacturer: Unknown
This is a ribbed, crystal glass fountain base, used to water chickens back in the 1930's- 1940's when most people raised their own chickens. This was used with a mason canning type jar on top, and it atomically watered the chickens, and as they drank the bowl would refill from the water in the jar. In the very center glass is faintly written: Pat. Appl'd. For - No. 569 - Measures 5-1/2- inches across, and 2-1/8- inches height, 1-1/2 inches to rim. Nice, vintage condition, normal glass straw marks, typical of old glass. Note: center area of glass has a hexagon/ six sides, shape.
