Offering this gorgeous vintage silk sari in deep rose pink silk adorned with rich ornate patterns in silver metallic thread. Fabulous woven pallu (decorative endpiece) with a detailed design executed with silver colored thread over a deep rose pink silk background. Wonderful gold border on bottom edges. The center part has multiple small silver woven designs. Overall measures 36 inches wide x 136 inches long. Very good condition, no holes, tears, ravelling, fraying, or stains. Very clean. I acquired this from a Doctor's estate - he and his wife travelled a lot to the far east during the 1950's - 1960's. The workmanship is just wonderful, it shimmers in the light. Would make a beautiful wall hanging, canopy drape, curtain panel, many possiblities. You do not see many vintage saris in this color and with this workmanship.
