Great Expectations Antiques

Circa: Late 1800's - early 1900's
Condition: Good+
Manufacturer: Walden Worcester Mass. U.S.A.
This is a very nice, antique brace style speed wrench with a 5/8" hex socket at one end, and a free spinning crank handle at the other end. The brace wrench is 19" long overall. It is marked "WALDEN WORCESTER MADE IN U.S.A. PAT. OCT.22.98 5/8 6020" on the crank frame section. The 5/8" socket is perminently attached on this model, and is about a 5/8" deep well type. The swing is 7" total diameter. It has a good heavy duty pressed steel handle that appears to ride on a good solid bushing, well attached. I suppose someone may have once had a complete set of these, but we have just the one to offer. It is rare, we never had another one like it. Patented in 1898. Outstanding quality for that period! No rust, no damage, very little wear noted!
