Great Expectations Antiques

Circa: 1920's-1940's
Condition: Good+
Manufacturer: Walden Worcester Mass. U.S.A.
This is a unique swivel breaker bar 5/8" box wrench design for 1920's automotive head bolt removal.  It is marked "STEVEN'S WALDEN WORCESTER MASS PAT. MAY 18 26 MADE IN U.S.A." on the handle in between the knurled areas.  It is also marked "450 and 5/8" on the handle and WED on the main shaft.  It is in good working order, no rust, some wear noted on the box wrench section, usable, the pivot joint is fairly snug and the curved handle shaft has a good flange so it doesn't come out of the pivot hole.  It is a very heavy duty wrench.  The handle and it's shaft is 11.25" long, the folded wrench is 12.75" long overall and the box wrench section is 7.75" long.  I have never seen another one like it in the last 15+ years!  A rare special purpose engineered and patented breaker bar type application wrench!
