Written by William Makepeace Thackeray. This volume is from Thackeray's Complete Works, the Peoples Edition. Published by Estes and Lauriat, Boston, 1881. Rich leather spine and corners, marbled boards, marbled inside covers and edges of pages when closed have same marbled design. Hubbed spine with gold lettering and scroll designs. Very slight edge wear, no tears or stains. Pages are clean and tight (only exception is page 327, someone placed an old tiny newspaper clipping in page which left a slight darkening shadow, does not affect reading. Spine is secure. Contains 325 illustrations by Thackeray, Du Maurier, Cruieshank, Leech, Mullais, Barnard, & others. An exquisite 120 year old book. A must have for your library!
