A 10 piece (or 16, depending on how you count) 1970s coffee and dessert set in the Armetale brand pewter alloy by Wilton. The pattern name is Plough Tavern. Included are four coffee cups with ceramic inserts, four 6 inch dessert or cake plates, a covered cream pitcher, and covered sugar.
The plates have manufactured incised lines apparently made to look like knife marks. The marks are identical on each plate and are definitely intentional. The creamer and sugar are about 4-1/2 inches high to the lid finials. The handled cups are just over 4 inches high to the rims of the inserts by nearly 3 inches diameter at the rims. The ceramic mug inserts hold 7 ounces. Most of the pieces are marked with the usual RWP and other touchmarks. The cup interiors are dated 1972. There are no stains, no damage or scratches (other than the intentional ones on the plates), and everything is clean and shiny.
