This original postcard is from the 1933 Century Of Progress (Chicago World's Fair) which was held in Chicago. It is in very good condition with slightly worn corners and the front features the "Interior of the Golden Pavilion of Jehol". The reverse side features a postcard format, which is used and a paragraph that says "In the center background the image of the great Avalokitecvara smiles serenely down upon the worshippers from its stone table. The patron saint of Tibet & protector of its capital, is supposedly reincarnated in the Dalai Lama of Lhasa" and measures approx. 3 1/2" x 5 1/2".
