Handel 18 inch domical shade, reverse painted with Conneticut River Valley Scene, with winding river, village church with steeple in distant background, gorgeous tall red wood type trees surrounding valley scene, and very rare and incredibly well executed blue sky with white clouds in sky. In the last 17 years, this lamp, #6434, has only showed up twice at auction. The shade is supported by a very fine large, bulbous base, in original brown and now greening patina. Not only is this lamp exceptionally fine and rare; it is extremely beautiful.
