64 pages of jokes, cartoons and humorous stories about prohibition. As the first page says "The eighteenth amendment has brought out a new line of wit, fun and jokes. Here they are." Here's a short example ; "How do you like prohibition, Bill ? An even break. In the old days I felt better at night, and now I feel better in the morning". Kinda tame stuff by today's standards, but there's still a chuckle or two here. Illustrations are by Ray Gleason. The paperback has seen better days, the right top of the cover and the following half dozen pages is badly chipped as are the back 2 or 3 pages, but the body is all there and no pages are missing. |
