The exterior of the Gisors Cathedral is wonderfully displayed in this 1852 lithograph. It is from Jules Gailhabaud's Denkmaler Der Baukunst Volmue IV (Memorable Architecture of the Modern Times). Engraving by Bury from the original drawing by De Merindol. Print is on 19th Century heavy white woven paper with some discoloration around the outer edges. There are small stains throughout but detract little from the matted finished product. This print measures approx. 9" x 12" and is in Good condition. Matte sold separately.
A note on the source: Jules Gailhabaud compiled a large collection of architectural examples from around the world and published them in his 4 volume series Denkmaler Der Baukunst which were published during the mid 19th century. The lithographed prints were of the highest quality and represent the works of some of the greatest engravers of the day. Their attention to detail makes these originals some of the most sought after architectural prints. These prints will be the perfect compliment to your decor.
