Wonderful example of Art Nouveau. Art Nouveau was a movement with pottery of the late 19th and 20th Century characerized by curvilinear designs and nature. Many of the art work involved women. This piece is from 1994, is not an old piece, but shows the movement of a man and a woman in a circle. Piece is 14 1/2" X 14 1/2". Still has the "Roayl Haeger, Handcrafted in America" on the base and Haeger copyright sticker with the date on the bottom. There is a flaw on the back of the man's arm, but was from the firing, otherwise in excellent shape. |
