Sara Frank Iguanaworks art pottery tile. This contemporary artist is from W. Bloomfield, MI. She trained at Pewabic Pottery. I could not find this particular tile on her site so this may have been a custom made tile. It is gorgeous! It features a man and lady seated near a fireplace. It is 4.75 wide x 7.5 long x .75 deep. These tiles look great framed in mission oak frames, (Pewabic does that type of thing). Perfect gift for the person who loves art pottery or has arts and crafts style homes! 9/12
Vintage cement dog figurine. Very cute, lifesize vintage dog; stands 12.75 tall. 18 lbs. Made of statuary/cement. Bishon-Frise? Pic 6 shows the bottom of it. Great for the porch; or as a doorstop or the garden! A friend who owns one says it looks like her Bishon, I will let you be the judge; I don't think the ears are not same as a Bishon. Just a couple of dots of black paint loss on nose; you can dab some black paint or leave as is. Age est: 1950's, not 'antique', but is vintage. 12/09esamc
Vintage statuary head. At first look you might think this is terra cotta clay, but it is much heavier than ordinary terra cotta clay. It is likely cement with terra cotta coloring over it. When I tap my fingernail on it, it does not sound like terra cotta either, it sounds like statuary. It is quite hefty and stands 10.5 tall x 6.5 wide. One fleabite near bottom eyelid and 2 pinpops near backside; otherwise good condition, see pics. Not marked with any maker's marks; hollow inside. Just a really interesting piece of statuary and it looks fairly old. Roman goddess Vesta? 10/09esa#
