As a religion teacher at a Catholic High School it is fascinating to offer students antique vintage postcards in religion. They can see that a swastika was originally a religious symbol of note and that "Merry Xmas" was used routinely in the Victorian era and was not meant to keep Christ out of Christmas , but was rather a use of the X from Greek symbol for Christ, the Chi-Rho. Seeing the postcards they find fascinating--and vintage proves points. In addition they can't imagine seeing something old that has been taken care of--and they love it. I have some hold-to-light cards, and they really are wild for them as well as a few pricey Halloween cards. Some have started their own collections once they see mine. J. K. of Florida
