This early children’s glass set is pictured in Metz 1, however later research has indicated that it was a product of Greener & C0., United Kingdom, c. 1880's It is flint, but not bell-toned. Occasionally one sees pieces of this pattern in a full size – have seen a celery vase and a creamer. The color is black amethyst – it looks black when on a table and shows deep amethyst when held to the light. 2 7/8" h base to lip x 2 7/8" d. The tip of one scallop is gone. (#5681)
