Vintage Dinner Plate, W.S. George, Jasmine, Bolero pattern. This plate is 10 1/4 across. W. S. George was made in the U.S.A. starting in 1904 and ended in 1960. The company had different backstamps over the years. This pattern backstamp reads W.S. George Bolero. Bolero is the cut of the pattern; simple and elegant with a sprig of jasmine, a fluted edge and gold trim. The condition of the plate is very nice--no nicks, chips, or crazing and only slight signs of use. The colors are good and the finish is glossy--the gold around the edge is only very slightly worn.
