Crowned Madonna And Child Religious Catholic Icon Or Shrine
I'm not up on my Catholic terminology, but this appears to be a Catholic icon or tabletop shrine, about 3-1/2 inches high and wide. The base and octagonal mount are wood, covered in a marbled French Ivory or celluloid laminate. In the center of the octagon is a metal disc (silverplate I believe) with the Virgin Mary and Christ Child embossed in high relief, both wearing crowns. Their halos are inscribed with Latin writing. There's what appears to be a signature at the far right edge of the disc, I think it says Nusburger, or possibly Ausburger. This is an estate item and I'm unsure of the country of origin or age, though I'm sure it's not contemporary. There is of course patina to the embossed disc, otherwise good condition.
Petit Paradis, Celluloid Cover Child's Prayer Book
Petit Paradis de Pame Chretienne is the full title of this little prayer book. Probably a child's First Communion book, it has a celluloid cover with Christ holding a Communion Chalice. The book was printed in Czechosiovakia and there is a date on the bottom of the page, 1925. The book consists of 192 pages, none written in English. The inside front cover has a plastic Crucifix which is intact. The book is in good condition, and the binding is intact, but the edges are a bit worn. On the inside front page there are ink stains, however, the rest of the pages seem fine. The book measures 2 1/4 in. by 3 1/2 in. Shipping weight is .5 lb.

An acrylic paperweight. Stands 3.25 in. tall. Measures 2.25 in. square base. I think the 3 figures, man, woman, and child are made of pewter. Green base has lettering stating Father Michael J. McGivney founder of Knights of Columbus. In good, displayable condition.Vintage is perhaps from the 1970's.
Large, Vintage, Rosary. The Crucifix is made Bronze with Ebony Wood. I must admit I do not know anything about Rosaries but my quick research indicates that this one probably had the Skull and Crossbones at the base of the Cross that symbolized Life After Death in the early Crucifixes. This one, if indeed it had one, is missing. There is a Sacred Heart in the center of the cross on the back. It is unmarked. The Rosary beads are wooden with metal chain and a heart shaped celluloid center.
This antique picture of the Holy Family, Christian, is dated 1894. Artist signed but I am unable to decipher the name. Measures 7.5 in. x 5.25 in. I think the border is reverse painted. Very thick glass with a scalloped edge. No chips or cracks. The metal back has an attached cord for hanging. Unusual and definitely an antique.
Beautiful Sick Call Crucifix set, also known as Last Rites Crucifix set is made of oak. It measures 13 in. high x 7-1/4 in. wide and opens up to reveal compartments to hold candles and a vial of holy water, all of which are included. There even is some remaining water in the bottle. When taken apart, the top cross fits into the peg on the bottom cross (standing upright) and the candles fit into the wells carved into the base. The corpus is molded colored plastic and is beautifully detailed. There is a hole on the back so this crucifix may hang on your wall. There is a sticker on the back which indicates the cross was purchased at The Catholic Shop, Norristown, Pa. This piece is in excellent condition and the wood is nicely grained in a warm brown color. Shipping weight is 2 lbs. 8 oz.

A creamy white ceramic planter with gold accents, with the front of the planter being a scroll and a pair of hands in prayer set apart and in front of the scroll. On the scroll is the saying, Lord's Prayer. The planter is bottom incised, Lefton's Original with a mold number. A beautiful figurine of whom I believe to be St. Therese. She is holding a jar, in which a dove of peace on a short metal rod is resting. Also she has a metal halo on the back of her head, which also is on two short metal rods, so both the dove and halo can be removed. She is standing on an imitation marbleized base. The figurine measures 13 in. tall, and the base measures 3 ½ in. by 3 ¾ in. Since the bird just is sitting on the jar, he had fallen a few times, and part of his rear tail is missing, and a bit of damage to the top of his head. She has a few missing flakes, but overall this still is a great figurine. The bottom insert is wood, however, I can't tell what the figurine is made of, possibly a thin layer of chalk or plaster over lightweight wood, or a composition material. The only markings are on the rear of the base and are, 0 1 0. Shipping weight 2 ½ lbs.
A simply beautiful figurine of Madonna with a Halo, signed on the back base, M. I. Hummel. The figurine is done in soft shades of blue and peach, nicely done facial features, and measures 12 in. high. The figurine is bottom stamped with a Stylized bee inside the V and Western Germany on the side, as well as being incised, 45/1, ca. probably 1960-1972. The bottom front of the base has a 1 ¼ in. long chip, mostly from underneath, but gives the appearance of a ragged finish to part of the front base. However, when standing, the base damage is hardly noticeable. Price has been adjusted accordingly. Shipping weight 1 ½ lbs.
A very heavy nice sized figurine known as La Pieta. Done in what appears to be plaster, this figurine is signed but the name is very hard to read, as it has been worn. I can only figure out a few letters, AR, and possibly M before the AR and V or W after the AR and the copyright symbol. The bottom rear base of the figurine has damage, see photo, and price has been adjusted. The figurine measures 9 in. tall, and the base measures 4 ½ in. wide by 7 ¼ in. long. Shipping weight 4 lbs. 12 oz.
