Circa: 1846
Manufacturer: M.A. Boone
Patented antique painted iron doorstop. c:1846. This item feels like solid iron; has tole style painting on it, and raised mark: M.A. Boone, #1, Pat'd Dec. 5, 1846. It looks sort of like a Dutch shoe shaped sad iron. Top of handle has initials: FGR painted on it. This would be great as a doorstop, or in your new, made to look vintage laundry room, or as a paperweight in an office! Very unique antique! Pic #4 shows the bottom of iron. djau5.06recpt
