Book titled An Authentic Narrative of the Loss of the American Brig Commerce: Wrecked on the Western Coast of Africa in Aug. 1815. With Account of Sufferings of Surviving Officers and Crew who were enslaved by the Wandering Arabs on the African Desert. Written by James Riley. Published in Hartford, Ct by Andrus and Judd in 1828. 271 pages. Suppose to have 10 copperplate engravings. I counted 7 and another page with some script on it. So I don't know if there is 2 or 3 missing. Book has foxing throughout and few pages at the beginning with heavier stain marks. Inside cover has a heavy stain mark as well. Overall Book is solid and intact. Some cover wear. Measures 5 3/4 x 9". Buyer to pay shipping.
