This is an antique open face pocket watch with a deer or stag on the back. The watch has PROT in a cross and 1241623 on the mechanism. Both the back cover and the inside cover have 1177865 and 0 on them. I do not know who made the watch or what it is made of. The top of the winding stem appears to be sterling silver. The watch does wind and run. It has a second dial. The watch measures 2 inches in diameter without including the winding stem. There watch appears to be in good condition but there is some dark spotting that looks like rust near the deer's legs. The watch has not been cleaned or polished.
