This original postcard is from the 1933 Century Of Progress (Chicago World's Fair) which was held in Chicago. It is in excellent condition & slightly yellowed and the front features "Fort Dearborn-The Parade Ground". The reverse side features a postcard format, which is unused and a paragraph that says "Inside the stockaded inclosure is a quadrangular parade ground, with a 70 foot flagpole in the center. The flag carries fifteen stars for the states of 1812. Surrounding the parade grounds are the log palisades, blockhouses, soldiers' quarters, officers' quarters, supplies building and powder magazine" and measures approx. 5 1/2" x 3 1/2".
