This original postcard is from the 1933 Century Of Progress (Chicago World's Fair) which was held in Chicago. It is in very good condition with slight stains & yellowing and the front features the "Columbus Memorial Light". The reverse side features a postcard format, which is unused and a paragraph that says "The Dominican Republic occupies the greater part of the island formerly referred to as Hispaniola, which was the scene of the first European settlement in the New World, having been discovered by Columbus on December 5, 1492" and measures approx. 5 1/2" x 3 1/2".
