This original postcard is from the 1933 Century Of Progress (Chicago World's Fair) which was held in Chicago. It is in excellent condition and the front features the "The Replica of Mt. Vernon Presented by K. Mikimoto, Chicago World's Fair". The reverse side features a postcard format, which is unused and a paragraph that says "This is the replica of Mt. Vernon the home of George Washington, specially built for A Century of Progress by Mr. K. Mikimoto as a symbol of friendly relation existing between the United States & Japan." and measures approx. 5 1/2" x 3 1/2".
