Up for sale is a fantastic piece of mid-century baseball history: a vintage 1950s Hutch "Carl Furillo" endorsed fielder's glove. Carl "The Reading Rifle" Furillo was a star outfielder and an integral part of the legendary Brooklyn Dodgers "Boys of Summer" era. Features & Markings: - Heavy-duty embossed metal "HUTCH" wrist button intact. - Clear, highly legible "CARL FURILLO MODEL" stamping on the pinky finger. - Deep factory stamps on the palm including "Oil Treated" and "It's Hutch Built" on the thumb. - Classic 1950s leather split-web design and heavy perimeter lacing along the pinky edge. Condition Notes: This glove is in great, supple vintage condition for being roughly 70 years old. The leather has a beautiful rich patina with no major dry rotting, interior lining damage, or ink marks from previous owners. There is some expected light cracking on the piping edges and minor fraying on the red thread by the wrist strap (please see photos for exact condition details).
