Beautiful antique American Brilliant Period cut glass bowl, dating to approximately 1900–1915. This substantial bowl features an exceptionally decorative combination of wheel-engraved daisy flowers, deeply cut geometric panels, polished leaf motifs, and a sharp sawtooth rim. The floral panels are particularly lovely, with finely engraved parallel lines forming the petals and crosshatched flower centers. The bowl is made from a heavy glass blank and weighs approximately 2 lbs. 12 oz. The cutting is crisp and sharp to the touch, with excellent brilliance and depth. There is one tiny flea-bite/chip at the tip of a sawtooth along the rim. It is difficult to see but can be felt and is sharp to the touch. No cracks or other damage noted. Please see close-up photo. The exact cutting house and original pattern name have not been confirmed. The design is sometimes described in the antiques market as a Daisy or Hobstar Daisy-type pattern, but I am leaving the maker unattributed rather than assigning an undocumented manufacturer. A beautiful display piece as well as a substantial antique serving bowl, particularly appealing to collectors of American Brilliant Period cut glass and antique crystal.
