Description
This is a very nice 19th century wood, brass, and steel spoke shave. It is marked B. BOWEN and we believe this was a toolmaker in Pittsburg PA in the mid-1800's, as we found this item near by that location. It measures 10" wide overall with a 2.37" wide cutter blade. There is a brass skid pad, and the blade is sharp and ready to use. The wood is in great shape, no cracks, a few stains, nice patina overall. A rare makers' name!
