This is a nice antique lamp base candle stick holder with two cast swans that are like handles on the sides . It is 8" tall with swans, and other geometric designs. We note the the top candle holder piece is brass, the rest is cast iron. It appears to be from the late 1850's to 1890's period, with very good cast detailing. The metal is in very good condition overall with no damage. This base is 1.5 pounds. Unique! We note that there is no provision for an electric wire, so most likely was for a oil lamp or similar utility item. We have used it to display a paperweight in the past, make a nice display! The top inside opening is 2.5" so it is a good size for supporting different ornaments, and paperweights in you collection. A nice display stand!
