This is a Charles Buck 1 1/8" Socket Chisel with a full sweep sharpened on the inside radius. Marked "Charles Buck Cast Steel" on the steel that measures 8 1/4" from edge to end of socket. The hardwood handle is solid, but has a splinter off one side, otherwise very good condition. The Charles Buck company was closed around 1905 when he passed away. To my knowledge, this and other edge tools with the same mark are dated pre-1905.
