This is an intricately carved and detailed vintage Chinese snuff bottle made of composition cinnabar. This item dates from the early 1970's and carries a characteristic signature on an oval shaped brass plate on its bottom. The top of the bottle and the bottom of the lid are each reinforced with brass. A small plastic spoon is attached below the lid by means of a piece of hard rubber. 2 3/4 inches tall by 1 1/4 inches wide. This very detailed, wonderfully carved bottle is some type of polymer resin carved to look like cinnabar. These imports were coming into the market in the 1970’s; they all have the same character signature on the bottom.
