This is a nice clean 1/4" wide x 10.75" long socket beveled chisel marked "CRAFTSMAN VANADIUM U.S.A." on the steel. It has about 60% of the chrome plating intact, some minor stains and pitting. This is a good quality steel chisel, that has a very good sharp cutting edge ready to use, very clean, no rust a nice polished finish. The steel alone is 6.6" long. The hardwood handle is very solid, with a very good leather cap at the end, some minor wear, but very solid, and in good working order. Plenty of use left in this nice clean, sharp, ready to use, quality made firmer chisel! Craftsman, sold by Sears chisels came from only a few quality manufactures in the mid-1900's, this is a nice example!
