This is a nice clean antique 1/2" wide tanged firmer chisel marked by the maker "DOUGLAS MF'G CO." and a anchor logo to the right of the mark. It is in good useable condition overall, no rust, very sharp, some minor staining starting about 1/2" back from the cutting edge, and a nice hardwood handle, solid with a good brass ferrule. It measures 1/2" wide x 9.6" long overall (4.8" steel only). A nice clean firmer chisel by a well known 19th century quality edge tool maker!
