This is an antique hand forge tanged type flat firmer chisel/slick with the extra long hardwood handle.  The hammer marks can be seen on the taper toward the handle.  It measures 1.2" wide x 20.6" long overall. It is in fairy nice shape overall with a good sharp cutting edge, no rust and a good ash handle with some damage at the end (show in the picture) not bad, and a burn mark or black stain in about mid handle, and a crack in the center near the iron band, (the iron ferrule will keep the crack from expanding any further)  none of the handle damage will keep this good old chisel from taking a good cut. The iron is well secured, and the handle is long enough for good control. The cutting edge is very sharp, ready to use.
