Flemish Wood Box with a lovely painted rose design with painted yellow accent lines on the top and all around the sides. It has rounded finger jointed sides and a wonderful, ornate latch closure. It is marked on the bottom, Flemish Art Co. with the trade mark and New York. Note the wood separation on the bottom of the box. Natural for wood to shrink as it dries. It is in great condition with a couple of small paint chips on the edge. It is 3 3/4 inches high, 13 inches long and 5 inches deep. A wonderful Arts and Crafts era piece. This looks like could be a glove box for ladies, however the size is larger then the Glove Boxes I have ever seen. I am uncertain the intention for the use of this box. Despite I can think of several uses of my own.
